Astrology

Back to people overview

Astrology is the study of the effect of the positions and motions of celestial objects upon humans. Planetary movements were historically understood to influence a person’s health or behaviour, and even to determine their character. Astrologers were employed in Europe’s elite courts to produce these calculations. For example, Petrus Apianus’ Astronimicum Caesareum could be used to plot the positions of the stars and planets to produce astrological readings.
